Dog Show

On Sunday 5th July Pride in Brighton and Hove will be holding it’s ever popular Companion Dog Show, from midday at Hove Rugby Football Club, Old Shoreham Road, Hove. In association with the Coastway Veterinary Group, the Kennel Club registered event promises to be even more fun and entertainment than in previous years.
Registration costs £2 per class, entry for spectators is free and everybody is welcome. There will be pedigree classes, condition classes and everyone’s favorite, the novelty classes. For a full list of the class categories please see below.
Hove Rugby Football Club are again kindly donating their facilities free of charge. There will be a bar, refreshments and trade stands to keep all owners, friends and families entertained. Entry to the dog show is free although donations will be greatly received. All proceeds will go to Pride in Brighton and Hove.
Pedigree classes
AV Puppy; AV Toy Dogs; AV Gundogs; AV Terriers ; AV Utility; AV Working Dogs;
AV Pastoral; AV Hounds; Open; AV Veteran
Novelty Classes
Waggiest tail; Most handsome dog; Prettiest bitch; Best rescue dog or bitch; Best odd couple;
Dog the judge would most like to take home; Best six legs; Owner the judge likes best;
Best fancy dress; Dog or bitch that looks most like its owner
Condition Classes
Best Condition Dog; Best Condition Bitch; Best oldie Non-Pedigree (7+ years)
- Held under Kennel Club Rules & Regulations
- No dogs under six months old
- Challenge Certificate, reserve CC & Junior Warrant Winners are not eligible for Pedigree Classes
- The organizers cannot be held responsible for any injury, damage or accident whilst on the show ground
- All dogs must be kept on a lead at all times
- Please be responsible and clear up properly after your dog
