CROSS BREED PROFILE: Collie x Boxer
A Collie Boxer cross will be good natured, affectionate and great with children.
It could be a medium to large size dog which could have either high or low grooming needs. For sure, it will have a good energy level. Be prepared to enjoy an energetic walk at least once a day.
This adorable little guy is a Border Collie/Boxer cross.

I’m thinking of getting a boxer in a year or two, and I’m wondering what they’re like? Im still in school, so I’m not home all day, but when i am, I have plenty of spare time. I want a dog that’s campassionate, loyal, and a pretty much medium sized dog thats quite solid. Just a dog I can play with alot, and also a dog that will snuggle up and go to sleep with me.
Just wondering, does a boxer dog fit in with some of these?
Ive had my boy since he was 5 1/2 weeks old and he’s been stuck to me ever since, he is now nearly 12 yrs young!! The lady that was selling them ( I say selling them, he was a tenner!!..bargain!), said that he had been picked by some one else, but he made such a fuss of me that she said, if I want him, i could have him, because he had chosen me! He would not leave me alone, his mum, brothers and sisters were completely unaware of me and stayed together in their bed…but not Bop! He is everything that you described above and ‘cos he’s my buddy, more! The combination of the two breeds works so well, gooffy, friendly, loves people boxer and a clever, loyal, stand by you no matter what collie!…my best description of Bop is Goooffy at 90 mph…he’s clumsy (boxer) and runs into things, cos he’s looking behind at me! He still needs three walks a day and as I sit here, Im surrounded by his toys!..he’s 12!! He is so clever that sometimes I wonder if its ‘Fluke ‘ all over again!…He was a human in a previous life! The perfect breed!, we need enough to get the kennel club to recognise the ‘Boxlie’ as a breed!!x
We have a 3 year old Colliebox, Burley. What can i say or were do i start. I know all dog owners must phrase there family dog and i know you will probably think i am like the rest but hand on heart this cross is a must have. A Colliebox is most beautiful in every way. Loving, fun, intelligent, obedient, loyal, handsome, orderly and sensitive. Eager to please and not at all shy to get to know anyone. Loves to be loved and has bags of living from the moment he wakes. As a pup, he never chewed anything in our home, trained very quickly not only toiletry but also sit heal stay and to retrieve while out walking. This cross breed has the gentle child like nature of a boxer with the added bonus of holding intelligent maturity of a collie locked into one great breed.
