A Rottweiler Doberman cross will be a bigger dog which is loyal, protective, territorial, and intelligent. It should be living with active owners as it will require lots of exercise. Due to it’s short coat it will require little grooming.

And a very cute Dobermann x rottie puppy!

This is our female Doberweiller, Alice. She’s almost 2 years old. Last weighed at 40 kg, Vet said perfect weight for her height. She is absolutely adorable with us both at home but protective when out and territorial – favourite pastimes are cuddles on the sofa, chewing socks and bouncing !! Although she sounds like a disobedient dog she is in fact very intelligent and obedient.

I'm a volunteer dog walker and have fallen for a rescue dog called Monty. He is the most gorgeous dog with the kindest nature. I just love the fact that a dog who looks rather like the hound of the Baskervilles can be so soppy!

I had a Doberweiler (thats what we called her), she was a cross Doberman/Rotweiler, she was a rescue, she had been with a gang of druggies and kept sort of food and ill treated. I took her in and she was the most fantastic dog I have ever or will ever own. I called her Tess and sadly she died this year, I still miss her she was so intelligent and everybodies friend. From two breeds I vowed I would never own the cross makes a fantastic dog which I would recommend to anyone. I had Tess from about a year old until she was about 14yrs old. I now have a springer pup which I love but Tess was my right arm. She was protective and knew what I wanted before I did myself. A truly brilliant cross breed.

  2. Hello. And all nice words. great site great yes it is.

  3. We have a doberman cross rotweiler called holly and she is just 12 months old, and a amazing girl so loving and always makes me smile, we had her as a rescue to fit with our other doberman and they get on fantastic, my only advice is start as you mean to go on, if you want them not to sleep on your bed then start from day one and not when there older as cute as they are as little pups they soon grow, if you get one of this type of breed you will enjoy every second of the time you spend together.

    This is heroic work.

  5. We have a 4 month old Rottie doberman cross called Leon. Still pretty small but growing rapidly! He is an absolute monster in the house, chews anything & everything.. we have had to bin ALOT of shoes!! He winds up our other dog too ( whipper lab cross ) who isnt very happy about the new arrival… but we wouldnt change him for the world :) !

  6. I had male Rott x Dobie from a pup who was the most friendly dog in the world, drop dead gorgeous with an immaculate coat, loads of personality, loved playing and was incredibly intelligent and easily trained. I miss him dreadfully and would love to have another but can’t at the moment due to work commitments. An absolutely stunning dog.

  7. My 16 year old son came home with an 8 mth old Doberweiler and I found out he had swapped his phone for him. I said no way are we keeping him, i thought they had a reputation of being agressive. That night as he laid with his big head in my lap and snored like an old man i bonded with him and couldnt give him up. I recently split up with my husband and was staying in the house all the time but now i walk him and he is my bessie mate. He has been well looked after and is very well trained, he is very intelligent and only needs to be shown something once. He follows me around and is like my shadow. I love him to bits :-)

  8. I have a dog wich is a mix between a dobermann and a rottweiler. He is 18 months old and weights abt 50kg at the moment. Me and my wife love this dog above all! He needs alot of excercise mental stimualtion and training though. And we are never harsch to him, just dominant when he starts to get tough, especially as a teenager. I see loads of these dogs on the market in his age, people cant handle the cut “little” puppy anymore…I think this is horrible and people should take responibility for their animal.

  9. I had a Doberweiller Possumchops Cuddlepuss, I rescued him from the farmers gun (that was his other option). we had met some weeks before and I somehow knew he was going to be mine, I told him as much and he agreed with me. He was 1yr old, his name was Shadow for obvious reasons. We fell in love from day 1 and it never faltered. He was the perfect dog, I mean he was everything you could ever want in a dog. Noone would mess with him ‘cos he looked so fierce and had the loudest bark in the world, yet he was the sofest, most loving, intelligent creature you could ever wish to meet. I didn’t have to train him. he seemed to understand everything I said or asked of him. His behaviour was impecable, I could trust him 200%. I lost him in May of this year to cancer at the age of 11yrs. I hadn’t had a dog of my own since I was 12/13 yrs old, I am now 48 and I cannot envisage my getting another one after Shadow. Tears still whell up now when I think of him or see pics. like these. Nothing could ever replace him.

  10. Hi all, I own a magnificent friend by the name of Kobi. She was born on valentines day in 1995. We picked her up from a Rottweiler breeder who had a visit from a near-by Doberman male. Their oops turned into a fortuitous event for our young family.

Kobi is now 16 years old. Though she no longer has the energy of her youth, she still loves chasing the ball, playing in the snow, and going for a cool dip in the pond.

I love her as I love my children. When she passes I will be devastated. Sadly, at her age, I know she doesn’t have long. So, I spend as much time as I can with her.

Her temperament is, and always been, outstanding. She knows about 30 English words.

Interestingly, one of the most precious things about her is when she is dreaming. Legs twitching away, funny look on her face.

One day she farted so loud that she turned around to see what the noise was!

Kobi, the best friend you could ever ask for…

Hi there, I also have a dobie x rottie… and what a beautiful, sleek, powerful highly intelligent dog she is.in my own personal opinion she would have benifited from being a working dog, and these dogs are not for the faint hearted or for beginners. Everywhere i go people stop me to comment on her, she has amazin posture, with the head always held high… in other words she is a typical doberman, only bigger. I never thought there would be so many other cross breeds like her… why isnt this breed becoming a reconised breed? i defo want another mixed breed like this one

  12. I have a four month old Doberman Rottweiler mix. His name is Tyson. He is wonderful; very energetic and playful. He weighs about 30 pounds. I thinks he is unusually big for his age. Anyway, I love him just the same.

  16. Hi, We have just got a lovely puppie doberman x rottie and he is the most lovable affectionate dog you could ever ask for, it was fate as we went to see his sister for my sister in law and we just had to have him too. we have started dog classes and he is great at everything but also a little lazy so i think he just doesnt move sometimes but it makes me look good for wait and stay commands, he wasnt the breed i was after but i wouldnt change him for the world also great with the kids.
