Nottingham Nottinghamshire – Border Collie HOMED Nov 09

| HOMED | November 21, 2009

Price is a very sprightly 14 year old Border Collie who came into the care of AARU after his owner died.  He settled into his foster home very quickly and is a really lovely old chap.  He loves his tennis ball and thoroughly enjoys his walks.  He certainly acts younger than his 14 years!

Prince 150x150 Nottingham Nottinghamshire Border Collie HOMED Nov 09

He’s a friendly boy who gets on well with everyone he meets.  Prince isn’t too keen on some dogs he meets when out on his walks, however once he gets to know another dog he is fine – he could live with another dog if carefully introduced.  His status with cats isn’t known.

When Prince arrived, he brought with him some tablets for his heart, however he appeared so well that our vet questioned whether in fact he needed them.  Prince has since had an ECG and a 3D heart scan.  These tests showed that he simply has a slightly leaky heart valve which needs no medication.  If this gets worse, he may (or may not) need tablets in the future.  Prince has been neutered and is microchipped.

Prince is a lovely boy who deserves a loving permanent home to live out his retirement years.
