Caterham Surrey – Ridgeback x HOMED Dec 09
Her Story: Beautiful Bronte came to us at just 4 months old as a result of accidental litter. Raised in a multi-dog household, homed but returned for worrying sheep. Bronte found what we thought to be her forever home summer 08. However, sadly the family that adopted her needed to return her due to an unexpected change in their circumstances.
Salient points: Bronte is highly affectionate, elegant, beautiful large/medium sized dog. Proven with children and excellent with other dogs of all sizes. Strong chase drive despite being well trained. Seriously not for cats, small furries or livestock so needs a garden with 6 foot minumum fencing.
Advert: Bronte is a 2 year old crossbreed poss Ridgeback. In her previous home she was happily and successfully living with 4 children. She has now in foster and has settled down with 3 other dogs of varying size from 1 to 18 years old. She gets on famously with everyone.Bronte is spayed, fully vax’d, microchipped, up to date with all worm and flea treatments and fostered in Hampton, Middlesex / Surrey border
Bronte is a lovely, affectionate girly with people, children and visitors inside and outside her ‘home’. Very good skills with other dogs. She loves a good walk in the woods or the park but equally loves to sneak onto your lap for a cuddle as if she was a chihuahua! She has good basic training understands commands sit, down, paw, off, leave it. Her recall is excellent without distractions! She has strong chase drive coupled with curiosity so ‘think sighthound’ in this area . Apart from this Bronte has good obedience and could with the right trainer achieve agility dog status! Bronte is clicker trained.
Bronte is looking for a home with a family who are confident with a larger sized dog. She would happily share her home with sensible children and other dogs. She will need secure fencing to at least 6 foot. Bronte has found herself back in rescue through no fault of her own. She has proved herself to be a kind hearted family dog … oh sooo loved!
