Purley Surrey – Cats HOMED Feb 2010

| HOMED | November 27, 2009

Pickering is approx 18 years old and has two teeth. He was found dumped on a road, exhausted and panting and was handed into us by a well known animal charity yesterday (23/8/09).

He has had to be sedated and groomed out because he was very matted. His blood tests came back as very good for a cat of his age indicating that he has no obvious kidney/liver problems. He did have fleas which have been sorted and he had to be wormed. He is due a vet check tomorrow because his remaining two teeth have receding gums and the roots are showing meaning that these two teeth may have to be removed too. He has been first vaccinated. Pickering is an extremely affectionate cat and gets on well with other cats and is tolerant of dogs, but worries if they are too full on. He is a proper people cat and bellows for as much attention as he can get. He is clean in the home and has a brilliant appetite. Pickering was due to be put to sleep today because he was old and unlikely to be rehomed. We will prove this theory wrong hopefully.

Eddie is approx 17-18 years old. He was taken in yesterday (23/08/09) after being found dumped and was handed into us by a well known animal charity.

Eddie 150x150 Purley Surrey Cats HOMED Feb 2010

He is a typical old boy and likes his space, but enjoys a fuss on his terms. He was found with polyps in his ears which were removed and he is just finishing a course of antibiotics because of these. Although he is microchipped the phone number is unobtainable. He also did have fleas which were treated and he had to be wormed. His blood test results came back as good for a cat of his age. This means he has no obvious kidney/liver problems. He has got a vet check tomorrow because he has some sort of growth on his backend plus he needs his first vaccinations. He is very clean in the home, but would suit a family with no dogs or young children. He tolerates other cats, but not if they bother him! Eddie was due to be put to sleep today because he is elderly and unlikely to find a home…we are hoping to prove this theory wrong.
