Medway Kent – German Shepherd x HOMED Feb 2010

| HOMED | December 5, 2009

Dez has been living in a sanctuary environment, through no fault of his own. He has been waiting patiently for a home of his own…

We have put Dez into a foster home, to see how he is in a home environment. He is sharing his foster home with a Dalmatian, a Rottweiler, a German shepherd, a cat, and a visiting Saluki!

Here is what his lovely foster mummy has to say about him…..!!!

“Well Dez has made himself at home here!

Dez is very clever and quick to learn, he knows sit, paw, walks very well on a harness, no accidents so housetrained fine! Doesn’t try to get on the furniture and has claimed a bed all for himself! He is playful and the most affectionate lad ever, he is so eager to please you that he can get in a muddle and ends up a bit hyper! He loved the bath, had to lift him in but once there he just kind of resigned himself to his fate of being clean mutt! No worries with hairdryer or anything. He sat and waited for his dinner, isn’t food possessive or anything, sat and waited for his chew like a good lad and gave me his paw! He does attach himself to people very quickly bless him, I went upstairs and shut him downstairs and he panicked, however if I don’t shut him down and just ask him to stay downstairs he is fine with that. Probably would appreciate a home where he wouldn’t be left to long, but purely because he craves attention so much!

He did chase the poor cat, so I wouldn’t recommend a home with cats although he would learn very easily to leave them alone! Walks lovely and happy to meet strangers, very friendly to everyone, but already barks at my door and has a little grumble when new people come in!

All in all a lovely little lad that really craves a family of his own!”

Dez has been microchipped, vaccinated, wormed, deflead and castrated. We would ideally like a home with children over 6 for this gorgeous boy.

hI I WAS LOOKING TO BUY A GERMAN SHEPARD BUT AFTER LOOKING AT A FEW IN REHOMING SITES FELT IT WOULD BE BETTER TO GIVE A HOME TO ONE IN NEED. I WONDERED IF DEZ WAS STILL AVAILABLE. i ONLY HAVE SMALL GARDEN BUT HAVE 6FT FENCES AND WALK EVERY DAY SO HE WOULD GET PLENTY OF EXCERSISE. iM HOME MOST OF THE TIME JUST MYSELF AND MY PARTNER. I USED TO DO HOME VISITS FOR THE RSPCA AND I AM A GREAT ANIMAL LOVER THANK YOU LIANE
