CROSS BREED PROFILE: Alaskan Malamute x German Shepherd Cross
An Alaskan Shepherd is an Alaskan Malamute German Shephard cross.
A large dog but with low grooming needs and a good energy level, it is also good with children, but best when having been raised with them. A playful, lively, loyal and intelligent dog, he or she will want lots of time spent with them, and will need exercise frequently.
Taz – german shepherd/alaskan malamute/wolf cross – best friend and companion

David Heath: Sable is a beautiful 9 year old Shephard Malamute mix. She is so adorable. I am always stopped when I am walking her. Everyone wants to know what she is but mostly they just want to pet her. She is playful and calm and talks to you when she needs something. Likes to be walked 2-3 miles then wants to drink a gallon of water and pass out or should say pant out. Awesome around people and pets and know when she need to protect me. She is amazing!

Our Malamute x GSD is an 8mth old stubborn and string willed beast but she is good with the kids and the cats and she has a really cute look about her. She seems to have developed a liking to carpet, wood and plastic (eating it that is). She is huge already and I have a feeling she is going to get much larger in the coming months. Wouldnt change her for the world.

Hi, I have just purchased an Alaskan Malamute cross German Shepherd, what a ball of fluff she is, she was 8 weeks old on Wednesday 03/08/2011, she has fit right into our home and is doing pretty well on the toilet training side, she still has a few accidents but that can only be expected, she is only a few weeks old after all, my main problem is that she does play bite or mouth a lot, I realise a lot of that is teething and will pass, but can anyone tell me how I can stop her from doing it if it becomes too much of a problem? Many Thanks
Phil
I have two lovely Alaskan Shepard girls, Sisters only 17months and I can’t believe how big they are. People actually do a double take when I tell them they are girls also when I say they are sisters because of the differences with them both one is black, tan , and cream the other cream, black and white. But I would’nt change them they are very loyal, loving and so protective.
