HOMED May 2010
ROO
Breed: Collie
Age: 18 months (Born 24/2/08)
Sex: Male (Neutered)
Description: Black & White
Roo will need a very experienced collie owner, as he does show very strong collie behaviour – he is definately not for the 1st time dog owner! He is really looking for a home where somebody is going to keep his very active brain occupied, so an obedience, agility, flyball or search and rescue home would be great for him Roo has been a family pet since a puppy, but unfortunately, the committments of the family have changed, making it impossible to care for him, so they have had to make the hard decision to give him up. Roo is a very friendly, happy dog. He walks reasonably well on the lead, although would benefit from some further training, but he is extremely good when running free, and always comes when called. He is good in the house, and travels well in the car, although is used to travelling in the passenger foot well! He would soon adjust to a safer restrained location as he enjoys being in the car. Roo is used to living with children over the age of 10 years, but is friendly with all ages. He has not lived with cats or other dogs, but is sociable when he meets other dogs on walks. Roo is an active, clever dog who would love a home where he will get lots of walks and fun, and some training to learn new stuff such as Agility or Flyball. He will need company most of the time, as would any young dog.
