HOMED May 2010
Name: Teddy
Breed: Terrier x
Age: 3/4 years
Sex: Male (Neutered)
Description: White & Tan
Teddy was re-homed 4 months ago, after initially being found as a stray His adopter has now decided they no longer wish to keep him – due to behaviour which we feel is to be expected in a terrier! He is good with other dogs and people, but his adopter has found that he will play with the other dogs for a while – but then disappear into the woods and not return for a while! We have suggested not letting him off the lead until he has been taught a recall – but unfortunately the people don’t feel they can commit to train him He has also started snapping whilst on the sofa – and with this we have suggested NOT allowing him up there in the first place, and using a long line to remove him if he refuses to get off if told – but again the people don’t feel they can do this. Poor Teddy needs somebody who maybe has terrier experience, who can show him that he is not pack leader which he obviously believed he was in his previous home. Please only offer him a home if you are prepared to put some work into his upbringing – training classes will be a must, something if his previous adopter had done he probably wouldn’t be here now. Teddy has already been let down once – please don’t let this happen again
