CROSS BREED PROFILE: Puggle (Pug x Beagle Cross)
A mix of a Pug and a Beagle. Puggles will be a little smaller than Beagles. They have droopy ears and a curled tail. Most common colours are tan with black markings, but other colors also occur.
Puggles could have some breathing problems, but they often inherit a longer snout from the Beagle, so it shouldn’t be a big problem. If your getting a puppy of this mix look out for one with a longer snout.
Puggles are social dogs. They love to play and relax with the family. They will get to know new people and animals well. They are sometimes hyperactive and could inherit the tracking instinct from the Beagle, so they should be supervised while outside.
And a very cute Puggle puppy!
Puggles can be stubborn at times, but they should not be that hard to train. They chew a lot, so remember to have appropriate things for that! Some Puggles can to bark a lot.
Do you have a Puggle? If so, please write a comment and tell us about him or her.

Lola my 4 year old is highly intelligent highly inquisitive and must have least 30 mins of cuddles a day,! She is food obsessed loves everything animal human or vegetable. I could strangle her sometimes but she makes me laugh out loud on a daily basis!! The best breed by far!!
i have a puggle and she is the sweetest pup ever.
Hi.I just a bought a puppy cross-Pug Beagle cross.Just I have a question.What tipe of size he will be,bigger then original pug?Thank you.
Puggles are stubborn, but can be trained it just takes patience. He tends to bark alot when he sees or hears other dogs. This is his territorial response, but he loves all other dogs and people. He no longer chews and is real chill at only 2 years old. My wife and I love the fucker.
@harrassed
I have the same situation where I live. My next door neighbours Puggle always barks when she hears me in the garden, so I sought advice from my friend whose a dog trainer.
He said that because I used to use an ultrasonic dog repellent to keep him away from my side of the fence, the Puggle has remembered that something ‘unpleasant’ lies on the other side of the fence. Apparently Puggles are very territorial, so when I used the device (albeit only for a week or so), the Puggle remains on the defensive as it assumes unpleasantries reside on the other side of the fence. It is the Puggles way of saying ‘leave my garden alone!’.
But, that was last year, and it doesn’t bark at me anymore. Instead of ignoring the barking, the dog trainer advised me to approach the dog from over the fence (ie: stroke it a few times, say ‘good girl’ in a non-aggressive tone). After a few times of doing it, the Puggle now knows that unpleasantries DO NOT lie across the fence, and she doesn’t bark at me anymore. I’m not really the biggest dog lover, but Puggles are pretty cute, so it wasn’t to difficult to overcome the problem.
Hope this advice helps!
Let me know how it goes.

maybe you should move
so cool facts and information here about puggles, good to hear longer snout by beagles help on breathing of pugs. Just last month, a friend of mind lost her pug after having hard time to breathe by being just involved in small accident.
my next door neighbour has this dog and it follows me around barking viciously, growling and snarling hurling itself against the fence. It has ruined my time outside
Some of them do look cute, but i really dont see the point in this cross.
should be more breeds of this type of dog !!!!
