CROSS BREED PROFILE: Rottweiler x German Shepherd
Rottie Shepherd mixes usually have more the coloring of a Rottie.
Rottie Shepherds can be dominant and they need lots of thing to do to keep them from getting bored.
They are also quite smart.
Rottie Shepherds can be wonderful family dogs, but they do have quite an attitude, so be prepared!
Thanks to Jijeesh for sending in the picture below of his lovely Rottie x GSD

Couldn’t help but notice the third picture down as it is a clone of our 2 year old dog Lara. Have attached a picture for you to see the resemblance. The reason I have attached this specific picture is because it infuriates me when people say that these two dog breeds are dangerous and shouldn’t be put in homes that have children. As you can see from the photo our dog is inseparable with our eldest son (10) and has never shown any aggressive tendencies to anything. I honestly believe they are just like kids, bring them up well and train them and you will have no problems. Sorry for the rant but have had a few people say recently things about owning specific breeds of dog. Thanks to Ty for the input

This is Bella. Everything you said about this breed is true. Loves children, very playful, and very attached to me(her mommie). Also is very loving. She is now 14 months old. The only thing about her(which I like) is that she is only 50 lbs and not getting any bigger. She was the runt. They need love too! Sent in by Adrienne

We have just purchased these 2x beauties in Ghana West Africa, will up-date you as they grow! Sent in by Steven Winterburn - Ghana

This is my Rottweiler X German Shepherd "Bronson". I was lucky enough to get him from the Australian Army. Bronson was formally an explosives sniffer dog. When he retired at 3 1/2, I got a fully trained loyal, friendly and wonderful buddy. Thanks Defence Forces. Sent in by Phil Sampson

This is Rudy our German Shepherd/Rottie cross. He is a great Puppy! Everyone who meets him says he has the temprement of a wonderful dog! He is calm, relaxed, nice to strangers, doesn't bark very much, loyal, etc! He has sooo many good qualities. He is also very smart, he seems to have got the best from both breeds intelligence/temprement wise. I will say is somewhat stubborn, and I can tell he is testing the limits of his training. Thanks to Johanna Altmann

Attatched is a picture of my SPCA Shepard mix. She is currently 10 months and 55 lbs!!! The first picture is 2 months old and the others are from when she was 3 months old but still looks alot like her just a lil taller. They told me she is a shepard mix but my vet thinks a shepard, rotti, and chow chow mix(by the tounge...it's spotted). Like said on your website.......she is such a lover!!! If you want to say she's aggressive........the only way i'll agree with you is saying she's an aggressive lover!!! lol She will lick you to death! She's great with dogs and people of any age. She's very smart.....almost too smart for her own good. But she can be stubborn such as not coming when she wants to play. Has TONS of energy!!! So glad I got this "little one" in my life!!! hola tengo a mi perrrita kira desde hace 2 meses y es lo mejor que hemos tenido:9
We got our Rott/Shepherd 2 years ago from a human society, best thing we have ever done–best dog, not a mean bone in this 136 pound loving animal. Great with grand kids and the neighborhood kids, wish other people could experience this feeling that our “Rocky” has given our family and neighborhood.
I bought what I thought was a purebred German Shepherd puppy and was very disappointed when his ears did not go up fully. He did not grow big in height, but is of stocky built and has strong rotty appearances. Despite this physical “abnormalities” Joker is a very handsome dog. He has a thick shiny coat and is well built. His temperament is of the best I have ever experienced from my previous 2 purebred GSD’s. He was much easier to train and is a pure gentleman. I think the coolness of his rotty ancestry has an influence on all this! We love him to bits…
I have what is so obviously a rottie/shepherd mix (she literally followed us home). She is the light in my life. She is pure joy. Everyday is best day of her life. She absolutely loves children and dogs and cats and anyone else that crosses her path. She has never shown any aggression and is very intelligent. She is incredibly loyal and beautiful to boot. I highly recommend bringing this breed cross into your life!
Dog sitting a rotwieller/GSD and she is the sweetest lovable dogg I have ever met, hate to give her back to her owners, she cuddles with me, is playful, takes me hand in her jaws but when playing but NEVER bites. She pees a lot so have to take her out often
rottie shepherds are so cute. my german shepard collie recently died and i now want a rottie shepherd. they are the cutest dog i have ever seen except for my black in color golden doodle.
Keep posting stuff like this i really like it
