CROSS BREED PROFILE: Yorkie Apso (Yorkshire Terrier x Lhasa Apso)
A Yorkshire Terrier and a Lhasa Apso mix. A small dog with long and silky coat of any color.
Yorkie Apsos generally dont get along well with children or other pets. They are, however, very affectionate and love cuddles from their owners. They are loyal and will protect their territory.
Yorkie Apsos may have difficulty on housetraining, and other training should be firm and consistent. Yorkie Apsos dont need a lot of exercise, playing is sufficient. They will need some daily grooming.

Sent in by Julie: This is Boo.She is an adorable little girl with a great temprament. We love her dearly. She housetrained very quickly and established herself firmly as part of our family. Our next door neighbours adopted her brother spud and as there were only 2 pups in this litter,it’s great that they will also grow up together. In the photo she is aged 8 months ENJOY!
Julie sent an update on Boo : Here's another recent pic of Boo now almost 2 years old. Her coat has changed in colour since she was a puppy. She's a lovely companion to me and very intelligent. Isn't she cute? We certainly think so.

My family and I just got a Yorkie/Apso, Layla, and she is the cutest lil thing. She was a premie so I am not sure of how big she will get. Does anyone here know approx. how big they get? I used to have a Yorkie when I was younger and she resembles a Yorkie more then a Apso I think. She is very good with my kids too, ages 12, 8, and 4. She is pretty easy to train too. She is only 8 weeks and she is training very well. Just wanted to share
I have a yorkie-apso and she is absolutely gorgeous…totally disagree about them not being good with kids as Dizzie loves kids. My 12 year old brought her but she has some how become my dog and dotes on me…she follows me everywhere and love trips out in the car and her daily walks. I have been an animal lover but now we have her I couldn’t imagine the house without her, she is a big part of our family.
Hi I also have a yorkie/apso Mum was a Yorkie and Dad was the Apso she is just over a year old now and called Honey I can honestly say Wow what a gorgeous breed she is the most happy caring clever little girl house trained very quick never has an accident plays games and tricks with us liking giving paw, standing up and playing boxing with her front paws sitting and waving her paw they are very intelligent little dogs, I am very suprised that Ive have seen this breed is not good for children my Honey loves my son and loves seeing kids at school in the morning along with going to the football match on a Saturday we also have 6 cats and fish shes gets on with them all really well including licking the cats to say hello think I must be really lucky with her I would highly recommend this breed she has a lot of energy and we walk her for an hour everyday she just loves it! The pics are of Honey and my son!
