Top Twenty-One Dog Walks in the U.K.
Dog Walking Britian
Who doesn’t love taking their dog on a delightful walk in the great outdoors? It’s good for both you, and your dog. In 2008, there was a contest sponsored by Hill’s Pet Nutrition, and supported by the tourist boards: Enjoy England, Visit Scotland and Visit Wales. Dog walkers were invited to vote and pick the Top Twenty-One Dog Walks in the U.K. and the results have been posted. The top walks are in the following counties: Aberdeenshire, Berkshire, Ceredigion, Cheshire, Cornwall, Cumbria, Derbyshire, Dorset, Essex, Fife, Flintshire, Gwynedd, Hampshire, Invernessshire, Kent, Lancashire, Merseyside, Monmouthshire, Northamptonshire, Northumberland, Nottinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Pembrokeshire, Perthshire, Powys, Somerset, South Devon, Stafford, Suffolk, West Glamorgan, Wiltshire, Worcestershire, and Yorkshire. The walks are all interesting and varied
Each walk is described by location, difficulty, duration, and whether it is wheelchair friendly.
Tom Wright, CEO, VisitBritain (www.visitbritain.com) remarked: “The credit crunch and wider economic climate is making it increasingly possible that many more people will opt for a UK break instead of going abroad. By providing a list of the top dog walking spots, we will encourage people to go and discover the fantastic beaches, parks and woodlands that the UK has to offer.”
Don’t forget to clean up after your dog so others can enjoy the walk too! To get the details of each walk go to, www.21topdogwalks.co.uk
