They also run www.staffierescue.co.uk and www.terrierrescue.co.uk
Please read their plight below and help if you can by making a direct donation or sign up for a page on our website.

We hold our breath every time we say ‘yes’ to saving another dog’s life. At any one time we can reach out and offer over 200 dogs a rescue place – that is exactly how dire the situation is.

The recession hit our rescue and has slowed homing rates down, but in truth it has hit homeless dogs very hard. We are paying £7-8 per dog for kennelling per day – that is £217-240 per month for each kennel. Some have been with us a long time. We have to raise £5,000 a month to pay our kennel bills.

We have no money in our accounts, we have only run as a rescue for 7 years from small beginnings. Our HEART IS BIG and we have strong/high standards and are skilled in what we offer. As money comes in, it goes straight out to pay our bills. Our adoption fee of £150 pays our neutering bills; we neuter all our dogs and any rescue that doesn’t is suspect in our eyes.

Please know we take no salaries or expenses, our dogs get no frills, sadly, as all our money goes to pay for kennel and veterinary costs. We rescue as many as we can.

We are struggling to keep going. We have hardly any funds coming in for the scale of the need! A little from many will keep us afloat. Can you help now through PayPal or would you consider a standing order of £5 a month?

Some rescues are very choosy and take easily ‘homeable’ dogs only … they defer any dogs with a hint of Staffie in. We have fallen in love with the Staffie sweet temperament, we take the ‘working type terrier that others don’t understand.

Those who give dogs a limited time say, 3 months, don’t neuter, but give vouchers which are often not used after homing! They lie when people enquire … ‘oh they were homed’! We are transparent, we never put long term dogs to sleep. Our dogs are safe regardless of how long they are with us!

Others insist on very high entrance criteria i.e. having to share a kennel with another strange dog, which knocks out most. Using kennels allows us to help dogs who are novice with dogs or ‘a little excitable!’

All rescues are struggling. Battersea has closed their doors to strays … so councils are having to put to sleep healthy good dogs, their budgets are being squeezed.

We have dog wardens in tears begging for a rescue place and offering their own money to support us to take, because they know a dog in our care is safe and will find its right home.

We feel the pressure and continue to take more dogs than we can home each week. We really need your emotional and financial help.

Can you help us and our dogs? If so, please considering a donation via PayPal on our website at http://www.rescueremedies.co.uk/page88.htm or download our monthly standing order form by clicking on the Red Kennel on the same page.

If you need any further details please contact Sharon@rescueremedies.co.uk for assistance.

Every contribution will make a difference, but none more so than the difference it will make to the dogs we save.

Thank you
The Rescue Remedies Team

To help raise money for this and other other rescue organisations over the year we have introduced our

“Fundraising Pet Services Directory”

We are creating the biggest & best pet services directory on the net for the UK, thats supports animal rescue.

Just £20 per year gets you a whole page of text, pictures, logo and a link back to advertise your pet business on our busy site.

For every paid entry in the directory, GetSetPet will donate £2 to our rescue centre of the month. So each month as the directory grows a different rescue organisation in the UK will benefit from the money raised in that month. The rest of the money goes back into support and keep this site up and running.

Can you help us & your business?

We are aiming to have 10,000 listings across the whole of  the UK that will mean an extra £10,000 pounds to help animals in need.

If you work in the pet services industry please join our directory now.
