LOST CATS BRIGHTON

The driving force behind LostCatsBrighton is Mr Ron Ayres. His hard work and dedication to helping cats has transformed a small Lost & Found list into Brightons newest cat rescue organisation. What began as one man helping a couple of cats in need has grown into a service that helped more than 180 of Brightons needy cats in 2007.

The Helpers

Ron is assisted by a small band of volunteers who offer their time and effort to keep things running as smoothly as possible. There’s David, who helps out in the office and with the cats, and Steve, Andy, Graham, Arun & Shannon, who help with the cleaning & feeding. We’re always looking for more people to help out so please get in touch if you have a couple of hours to spare in the week. We’re especially looking for someone to help out with the morning cleaning and feeding sessions. (Be warned – there are Litter Trays!!)

The Future for LostCatsBrighton.

Our first priority for 2008 is to upgrade our pens and thus offer the cats that come to us the best care possible. We would also like to add on a garden run which would make a cats time spent with us more natural. We urgently need funds to do this and to cover our ever increasing vets bills (approximately £15000 in 2007). As always we’re here for the cats of Brighton and will continue to help for as long as possible.

The Cats & The Money

The only set charge at LCB is a £10 charge for a microchip. Every cat that comes to LostCatsBrighton is seen by our vets and if necessary given medical treatment. All cats are fully vaccinated, wormed, flea’d and microchipped. This is routine and means that our outlay for each cat starts at around £60. For this reason we do ask for a donation of at least £30 for each cat on top of the microchip charge. Thank You.

Tiggy found a new home in Mar 09 Thank you for all your interest

| HOMED | March 19, 2009

th Tiggy130109 Tiggy found a new home in Mar 09 Thank you for all your interestTiggy came to us with a very bad case of Cystitis for which he has received treatment. He’s doing remarkably well but will need medicine and special food for the foreseeable future. We would love to find an experienced cat owner to foster Tiggy as it’s unlikely that he will find someone to adopt him. Any fosterer would need to be comfortable giving him a tablet once a day as without them the problem may flair up again.

Tiggy himself is a lovely big cat. He’s very vocal and enjoys a chat, especially when he’s hungry. As he’s on a diet this is most of the time!

Please get in touch if you feel you could give Tiggy the care that he needs. Thank You.
