Did you know that on average, in the UK, 21 dogs are destroyed every day by local authorities? These dogs are either strays, or dogs that have been handed in by their owners.
The law states that the dogs must remain in the care of the local authority for 7 days, in order for strays to be reclaimed, or to be rehomed elsewhere. After the 7 days have been served, the dog can, by law, be destroyed.
It is the aim of South East Dog Rescue to help save as many of these abandoned / unwanted dogs. Please please consider taking on a rescue dog rather than buying a puppy. These dogs deserve a second chance….could you be the one to put the love back into these dogs lives??
We are based in Kent, but have dogs in foster homes throughout the UK. All dogs ready for rehoming will be assessed, vaccinated, neutered/speyed, microchipped and wormed. All homes will be vetted, and applicants interviewed.
